R/MapleStory2: A fan community for MapleStory 2. We support KMS2, CMS2 and GMS2 (RIP). Yes, MapleStory 2 is a 3D isometric adventure MMORPG. But let's be real it's all about the look! Fashion is so important and you can certainly make a statement with the new Golden Ribbon Outfits! The outfit comes with a hat and a pair of angel wings tied with a bow (and those pinstripes are super cute). Premier Club is the best way to enjoy RuneScape membership. It not only provides you FULL access to all of Runescape - with over 6x as many quests, a 3x larger game world and 11 exclusive skills - but also instant rewards like the Ceremonial Guard Armour and additional benefits like Premier Pass Yak Track Rewards, a deluge of cosmetics.
R/MapleStory2: A fan community for MapleStory 2. We support KMS2, CMS2 and GMS2. Disclaimer: Korean MapleStory 2 (KMS) is still a Pay 2 Win (p2w) game, compared to GMS2. The game is technically playable for free; however, many things we had in GMS2 (like lock scrolls, advanced gemstones, dungeon reward extension (KMS2 only), etc.) are behind that paywall.

As you know, after a period of testing, MapleStory 2 was finally released. I believe that many players have been playing this game since the beginning of the test, but for new players, everything is new. The first step to entering the game will face the problem of choosing a class. The following guide will help you better understand MapleStory 2's classes, detailed pros and cons, and a rich video introductions about skills!
Quick Jump
Rune Blader
Pros
- Ability to replenish 20 SP/sec without needing to defeat enemies.
- Has ability to infuse blades with various elements to perform various attacks.
- One of the top 5 jobs that can move very quickly.
- Has both close and far combat attacking range for easy training and bossing.
- Has additional 3 skills unlocked by completing quests.
Cons
- Does not have a SP skill to replenish SP. Have to wait for it to replenish.
- Must infuse blade with element because basic damage is very weak.
These guys are full-on melee DPS classes that uses elements to imbue their sword to have varying effects based on which element you choose, but whether you choose Fire, Ice, lightning, Runebladers have the potential to completely decimate everything they run into with style.
Runebladers are not tanky, you should consider them as playing a rogue or archer if you want to keep yourself from dying almost instantly.
Having a mix of long range attacks, Runebladers can definitely adapt to situations. Fire, Ice, Lightning Chargers alter your abilities making you a very versatile class since every skill that changes counts as a brand new skill which is a similar based property, as a result Runebladers are a fun class to play since you have to Mix up depending on how many enemies your facing and how strong they are.
They have one of the best wave-clear, while that being said, they are selfish in terms of not having any party utility buffs and not being very tanky either. They do have some skills that can block damage but not enough to block the role of being a frontliner class.
Runebladers are the lone wolf edgy solo players. if you fit into that category, they're for you. Strong but squishy. Download game ppsspp naruto ultimate ninja storm 3 cso.
Berserkers
Pros
- One of the best damage dealing classes.
- Great damage burst.
- Skills transition smoothly.
- Lots of fun swinging a giant sword!
- Has skills to replenish HP by stealing it from enemies while wounding them.
Cons
- Difficult to train in medium to large parties due to lack of accurate range mobbing skill.
- Receive more damage as they perform close combat. Consumes high amount of potions.
- Unlike Knight class, they do not have skills that can shield themselves from damage taken.
They take as much damage as they deal, they don't need any strategy whatsoever and deal with their problems straight on, they just tear stuff up and hoping they won't get killed that way. They are both durable and hard hitting, they have a good waveclear that could help a lot in your storyline and overall dealing a good amount of damage.
Not recommended for starters! Why? As good as their DPS, they are very demanding on HP, they require you to stand on a really low HP to maximize the burst and output damage.
Knights
Pros
- High defense.
- Easy to mob enemies with 'Throw Shield' skill that homes to an enemy and bounce to nearby enemies.
Cons
- Half of Berserker's sword attacking range, attacking speed and hits dished.
- Knight skills from Level 10-22 deals 1 hit.
- DPS (Damage Per Second) is lower and worsen with lots of misses.
- For block and 100% critical to work, it highly depends on probability instead of relying on player's skills.
- Knight shines at Level 30 and above. So, it's a little boring at earlier levels.
- Shield Block only works with magical/physical projectile. Not able to reflect lethal attacks.
Knights can deal their own amount of damage! But. Less. While not being as offensive as berserkers they can still dish out a good amount of damage, nethertheless they are still as good as priests, they have a lot of buffs, and sometimes a Knight would be required in your team.
They can make allies invincible to some attacks, which is paramount for strong bosses that have powerful burst attacks that can't even be dodged.
Wizard
Pros
- Have many active skills that allows you to deal high damage.
- Great for mobbing and bossing skills.
- Has skill that buff allies damage.
- Has ability to teleport to avoid enemy attacks.
Cons
- Low HP (Health)
- Weak Defense
- Skills need to chain in sequence to deal extra damage.
Wizard are sort of offensive type of class, they have a lot of tricks up their sleeves, fun to play since you can interchange your skills and adapt to almost any situation you're stuck in.
Wizards are meant to be mobbers having AoE attacks and debuffs such as freezing and burning, Having some buffs, but they are very squishy.
They have good elemental coverage ranging from fire to ice to lightning and also you have all ends tied up. Step 7 microwin 4.0 free download.
Priest
Pros
- Able to heal self and allies. This saves a lot of HP Potions.
- Has powerful close-combat mobbing skill at early levels. (Holy Light + Holy Explosion)
- Has ability to teleport to nearby allies while boosting self movement speed. (Heaven's Wings)
- Has many skills that heals allies (Heal, Sanctuary, Angel Ray) and also replenish SP (Holy Symbol).
Cons
- Weakest job in MapleStory2 in early levels and 1 vs 1.
- Lacks mobility. Difficult to escape from boss lethal attack. Brace for impact!
- Lacks of spammable offensive skills and defensive skills. Focus primarily on healing.
- Requires a party to level up efficiently. Solo leveling is a pain.
Best practical class in the game, this class can get to their job properly. No one can fill a priest's job.
From an offensive standpoint priest are the weakest, they will not get anywhere, (maybe, but hardly), without anyone helping in bosses and more. Priest's abillities have low base damage and while you do have a stable damaging spell, don't expect being as good as a Berserker or Assassin but what's good about Priests is that they have a good set of support skills such as Spirit regeneration, movement speed buffs, boosting defense, healing, tons of healing.
Archers
Pros
- Can increase team accuracy and critical rate with his skill Sharp Eyes.
- Skills can produce very high hit combos.
- Very good DPS.
- Good for new players!
Cons
- Solo play can be hard at times due to rotations.
- Low defense.
Archers are good choose because of their 'Sharp Eye' Skill, which is a buff that scales up the ciritcal rate and accuracy, exteremly beneficial for party members and in dungeons. Hard to play, but a rewarding class.
Rangers are a fast and flexible archers that have a wide plethora of skills that launch a bunch of arrows to do a massive amount of damage, they are one of the most consistent dps classes in the game and they take a huge advantage against monsters and bosses who doesn't have gap closers and can't get close to you as much as they should.
Heavy Gunners
Pros
- Has the longest attacking range for basic SP Replenshing Skill.
- Most SP Skills are based on AoE (Deals Area of Effect Damage).
- Great mobility. Rocket Launcher allows you to quickly move to a specific location.
- Has skills to perform high total damage in Boss Raids when utilizing skill rotations correctly.
- Female Heavy Gunner sexy voice-over is simply awesome.
- Fastest mob clearing skills/stats
- Not too flashy but fun to play and look at.
Cons
- Grenade skill has very short attacking range, unsuitable for bossing/training activities.
- Heavy Gunner are squishy (low HP) similarly to other non-Warrior class.
- Damage range is lower compared to Ranger, Assassin, Thief, Berserker, Knight and Wizard.
- Many SP Skills has cooldown timer and has long skill animation before damage affects enemies.
- Lock On skill commonly used on Bosses does not have high impact.
Heavy gunners choose power over the consistent attack speed, making them have a strong waveclear aswell as being good against any bosses.
Heavy gunners can outdamage Archers. While archers are quick on their feet, heavy gunners would choose to stay in one place and shoot out blasts of death at their opponent, making their total overall DPS much higher, so if you keep a good safe distance between you and a boss, you would be able to unleash an amazing amount of damage.
Another benifit is that they have a small healing kit that they can drop for themselves or allies, but it should be taken only by the heavy gunner since he's doing all the working damage, he has to stay safe, it may not be reliable as Priest's healing, but it's a good add to Heavy gunner's kit.
Please be careful when playing with Heavy gunners, their long animations and low movement speed making them extremely varunable to attack so make sure you know where you stand when activating skills and position yourself well, they are not AS consisted as rangers when it comes to keeping your distance.
Assassin
Pros
- Flashy moves.
- Very fun to play.
- Good range allows them to level quickly.
- Using 2 weapons allows great damage potential.
- Uses very little HP potions in training.
Cons
- Very squishy. Dies easily.
- Requires a lot of running around mobs to avoid damage and kite enemies in a line for mobbing.
- Damage not as high as other classes.
Assassins have the highest DPS in the game, no arguing about it, it's all true, proven. They have access to 100% crit rate, you can chain a lot of skills together and that'll make your finger dance a lot, expect to deal the most damage in any fight. They also have the best combat dash mobility in the game that allows them to fast reposition to keep their distance.
Assassins are challenging because they're mid ranged, so while they have distance, it's not really far enough to be safe so they rely on consistent moving/dashing/kiting to make sure they survive.
Assassins are not the best waveclear class since their main AoE abilities have moderate cooldowns, so you'll have to use the basic attacks most of the times and sometimes make sure the AoE skills lands on all of the mobs.
The above is an introduction to the class in MapleStory 2. You can see that each class has its own pros and cons. It is this difference that allows players to choose their class according to their own preferences, which brings richness fun to the game.
